If we (commercial real estate agents) could all band together under a fair structure, there is nothing that would stop us. The real estate industry is changing. Today more information is readily available and easily accessible for us and our clients than ever before.
We as agents need to come together under a new model that considers the changing dynamic in the market and prioritizes the agents and clients above the company profit margins.
As you may know, traditional Real Estate companies subsidize their cost by charging their agents countless fees and taking 30% 40% or even 50% of each deal the agent does.
The traditional commission model allows real estate brokerages to pay for their large overhead costs and still maintain a sizable profit for the company. The traditional fee structure also does not account for being on a team or growing within the company.
The problem with the traditional model is that the agents must work more deals to survive. They run themselves ragged and the client and company can suffer as a result. We want our agents comfortable and focused on each deal rather than chasing the next best thing.
We feel that the traditional way of doing real estate brokerage will soon come to an end. Freedom Commercial addresses both the fee structure and encourages team building not just with words but with a flexible non-greedy payment structure.
Remember how Netflix and Redbox put Blockbuster out of business and changed the way we watch TV and videos? Look at how Uber and Lyft have changed the taxi industry or the impact Amazon has had on the retail industry. Almost everything is changing at least in part to online based businesses.
Freedom is adapting to the changing climate by being a virtual commercial real estate company. We have a satellite office in Tysons Corner, VA with a receptionist and nice conference rooms where we can still have a presence and meet with clients, but we pay a fraction of the cost of traditional real estate companies.
Therefore, we will pass on our savings to our agents.
The Freedom pay structure currently starts at 80-90% commissions depending on experience and ALL agents can make over 100% per transaction through hitting their very attainable goals.
We also share income back with our agents. Not profit, income. Because Profit can be manipulated.
Our agents can get similar company support while making more than twice as much on similar transactions as other commercial real estate companies.
